Jason and I visited Vancouver September 8-11, 2018. This is one of the best photos I’ve ever taken, I think. The reflections of the buildings and the timing of the little red plane made us both gasp when we managed to catch them in the frame.
Vancouver had been on my list of places I wanted to visit for a decade. I’d made it a location in my novel Reprieve, and the research I did (that never made it into the final draft) brought it to life in my dreams. Not only did the city live up to my expectations – it is one of the most beautiful cities I’ve ever seen – but it is also the place where Jason and I came right after he proposed to me on the Sea to Sky suspended bridge in Whistler, BC.
