Ribeye Steaks in the Air Fryer

2 inch-thick 8 oz ribeyes

½ cup preferred steak marinade

2 tbsps butter or ghee

Meat tenderizer

Dash of rosemary or thyme

Olive or avocado oil

I cook our steak in the air fryer, and it is perfect every time.

We buy two 8 oz boneless well-marbled ribeyes, which we sprinkle with meat tenderizer then marinate overnight with our favorite marinade. It varies, but we like Dr. Hinkle’s these days.

An hour before dinner, I set the steaks out to reach room temperature. I preheat the air fryer at 400 degrees for five minutes, then spray the basket with olive or avocado oil. For one-inch steaks, I cook them at 390 for 8 minutes, flipping them at the halfway mark.

Then I heat two tbsps of butter or ghee in my iron skillet for two minutes on high heat. I sear each side of the steak for 1 minute, sprinkling each side with a dash of rosemary or thyme before turning.
